What is Axiom Neuro?
Axiom Neuro is an interactive functional atlas, a new, visually-oriented program that uses over 125 3D animations with nearly 75 minutes of running time to teach the neuroanatomy of the spinal cord and brainstem as well as the functional anatomy of cranial nerves and the effects of strokes and other common neurological pathologies.

Does this mean I can throw away my neuro textbooks?
Nope. Axiom Neuro is a supplement to traditional books and atlases. It's not designed to go into detail about obscure neurological diseases or the nitty-gritty of forebrain anatomy. But if you're frustrated by where the DCML tract changes orientation as it ascends or you can't remember if an MCA stroke affects both the lower and upper halves of the face, this just might be the software for you.

Which license do I need?
The individual and student licenses are for use on one "private" computer, that is a home or office computer that is mainly used just by yourself. If you want to use Axiom Neuro in a lecture, that's fine, as long as you're running it from your own machine. The only difference between the standard individual license and the student license is price. The shared/public license is for "public" computers including those in libraries, computer labs or lecture halls where more than one person has access to the program. The shared licenses expire one year after installation while the individual and student licenses never expire.

Do you offer a student discount?
Yes, if you can show proof of enrollment. Take a look at the purchase page for details. We also offer a rebate to students who can convince their schools to buy multiple copies.

Does this run on a Mac?
Right now, the software will only run on Windows, so if you've got a Mac that can dual-boot with Windows, it should work fine. If there are enough people who want a native Mac version, we'll be happy to oblige. E-mail us at info@brainwashedsoftware.com to let us know.

Is there a free demo version?
Yes, it contains one pathway, one cranial nerve and one virtual patient case. Download it here. Once you've entered your contact information, you'll be taken to the download page. Click here for instructions on how to install it.

Help! I can't get the program to work!
Check the support pages first, and if that doesn't help, write to us at support@brainwashedsoftware.com and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Why don't you show [insert name of condition/stroke/pathway here]?
If there's a specific feature you'd like to see in a future update or if you'd like to see another product covering a different system, drop us a line at info@brainwashedsoftware.com and let us know. We're always open to suggestions about what people would like to see. Our future plans include cardiovascular, pulmonary and GI programs.

Who made this?
Brainwashed Software was started by a couple of recent medical students who, after a particularly harrowing journey through second-year neuroanatomy, decided there had to be a better way of studying than flipping between pages of a grainy black-and-white atlas or even cutting the atlas to pieces and connecting the pictures with string. Don't worry though, it isn't just a couple of students making stuff up, we've been working side-by-side with actual neuroanatomy experts and physicians to make sure everything you see is accurate and up-to-date.
